APPLIQUES
Appliqué is an ancient technique of embroidering pieces of fabric onto a textile surface to create design motifs. We maintain a library of appliqué designs that we can customize to your specifications, such as border or corner designs. Appliqué fabrics are available in a wide range of color combinations. Motifs are appliquéd using a machine satin stitch, and we exclusively use 100% cotton Swiss embroidery thread for our appliqués. The bobbin thread is matched to the base fabric, eliminating the need for lining in items like curtains.
Appliqué is incorporated into our curtains, Roman shades, table linens, and pillows. However, it will not be added to roller shades, as the application would puncture the fabric, causing light to bleed through.
