Several years ago when Ann Wallace lived in Minnesota, the Twin Cities Bungalow Club found a box of glass negatives from Keith's Magazine, an early 20th century publication not unlike Gustav Stickley's Craftsman. The pictures were a fascinating study of the period as many of the interiors really showed how people lived, with inherited pieces mixed in with the new style. The pictures were from mostly the Midwest and West Coast, areas where this new style had taken off. Later, when she moved to Los Angeles, Ann found a large selection of Keith's Magazines in the main library. There were many how-to articles and discussions of proper decor....another fascinating window into the period. Today, many lovers of this easy-to-live-with style are trying to incorporate it into their modern life. It's seems as if nothing changes! Please read on...downloadable!
